  • STARTING THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS

     

    Coming to college can be an intimidating experience especially when you don't know many people and are new to the campus. An excellent way to meet people, socialize, and develop your leadership skills is joining a fraternity and sorority. Fraternity and sorority recruitment is designed to be a low-pressure, no-commitment experience for students who want determine if going Greek is the right thing for them. During the third week of Fall semester, fraternities and sororities host informative and fun activities that allow interested students an opportunity to meet active members and learn about each Greek organization.

     

    To participate in fraternity and sorority recruitment follow these simple steps:

     

     

    STEP 1: Complete the Recruitment Registration Form (Required)

     

    STEP 2: Attend an Information Session about Greek Life at Thunderbird Flight School (Optional)

     

    STEP 3: Attend the Club Fair during Thunderbird Flight School or Welcome Week (Optional)

     

    STEP 4: Pick Up a Schedule of Recruitment Events from Greek Representatives (Optional)

     

    STEP 5: Attend any Recruitment Events that are Open or that you are Invited to (Optional)

  • Recruitment Registration

    All students who are interested in joining a fraternity or sorority must complete this application before they can participate in the events and activities of "Recruitment Week." By completing this form, you are not committing to join an organization but expressing your interest in exploring the possibilities for participating in Greek Life at Southern Utah University. Some of the information you submit through this application will be shared with recruitment representatives from the fraternities and sororities at SUU. Specifically, organizations will receive your name, contact information, class status at SUU, extracurricular involvement, leadership experience, legacy status, and the organizations you are interested in. Please provide accurate information in all of the required fields (Required fields are denoted by a red star). The information you provide will be verified by the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership.

    A "legacy" is a student whose parent or sibling was a member of a fraternity or sorority. Therefore, a student who decides to join a fraternity or sorority is continuing a legacy.
